About the Project

We were tasked to partner with the storied The Club at Ruby Hill to reimagine a few key member areas that were lacking at the club. The member bar and grill were needing a refresh, but guests still needed some space to spread out and have more private dinners with friends, family, and clients. We helped Ruby Hill develop “The Cellar”, a dedicated semi-private space that mimics an intimate wine cellar environment for diners who want to get away from the bar and enjoy some quality time with others.

Winner: 2017 Legacy of Design 2nd Place for Dedicated / Unique Space

  • Getting down to The Cellar was originally not-all-that-glamourous. We helped design a lighted pathway down to the entrance with layered brick and stonework, arriving to a heavy mahogany door donning the entrance.

  • We kept true to the old-world aesthetic of the club while freshening-up the materials and amenities.

  • Truth be told: this entire area used to be an old laundry facility. A worthy transformation? We think so.

  • The transformation continues on the other side of The Cellar to the club’s bar and grill area. Stacked stone elements, chunky wood features, and dramatic lighting define this space as the place to be.

  • We also touched the bocce ball court and patio spaces, complete with a few fire pits, varietized seating areas, and modular curtain systems to help define areas for private parties and special occasions.
